I've been working as a helper in JC for the past 2 weeks now. It's been really an experience for me to see a kindergarten in operation and with so many kids coming together all at once... God really loves all the little children!

This time i really get to take a good look at them, get to know their names, interact with them and help them... sounds like a nanny more then a helper to me. haha. They are all so cute in their own ways, some so tiny and so fragile esp those at the age of 3. It is a job that requires a whole lot of love, patience and strength!.. yes.. esp handling the restless ones... phew, i typically drop dead and sleep through the whole afternoon after half day work. yea only half day, from 7.45am to about 1pm.

Nevertherless, this job brought a lot of joy and laughters, reminded me of how young and small we all once were, all the nursery rythmes we sang, kiddy games we played at pre-school. Everything is new to a child... every new activity is a new discovery, everything you tell them may be something "unheard" of to them, everything you say will leave an impact on the little kid. yea... so better be mindful of your choice of words!.. (^0^)

I just love the kids! they are such a delight... when they are obedient of course. haha =)

Below is a brief account of my job so far:

Week 1
This week is for the new students to come and get familiar with the environment. All of us are new in the new premise DC anyway. We see many concern parents crowding around the class observing their kids. Some of them brought cameras and even video tape their kid's "first day at pre school saga"

I was assigned to the 4 year olds together with another helper, May Yee. We assist the class teacher to wipe tables, arrange toys and play with them. Toys ranged from cooking utensils to play masak masak, barbie doll, doll house, picture coin toy, soft toys, dinosaurs etc. Some other teachers came to help out too... basically to coax the children, comfort them when they cry. awww... something new i learn through this - some needs to be hugged, assuring them they are safe, while some just need to be distracted, divert their attention to interesting stuff. as for those who don't understand a single thing you say but keep crying... err... can't do much, just be patient or take turns with another person. ;-)

Shall write more another time. till then tata! :-)

Looks like i prefer to update my blog once every 6 months! haha... all in one go, everything in a nutshell. Which means my blog entries aren't gonna be stories fresh from the oven, but rather highlights and those that left a lasting impression, impact and i-..... can't think of another I word. haha, whatever... guess you'll get what i mean. =)

well well, to fill up the gap between now and the previous post, a quick mention of the second half of 2007.

  • Upon completion of June 2007 ACCA exam, I made a decision to join the youth mission team to cambodia. Thus begin our 2 months of preparation with my team members. The Cambodia Youth mission trip (CYMT) was scheduled on 6-14 August 2007. All went well by the grace of God. will blog this in another entry.
  • Subsequently i fell sick and thus dengue episode lasted for about 2-3 weeks. lost weight. suffered blurry eyesight, frusration, can't study as I have already miss a few weeks of class. Had a tough time. Thank You all for praying for me! Thank God for healing me.
  • Went for prayer drive with CYZ on Merdeka Day... first time thing for me. Went to Cyberjaya, prayed for LKW, MMU and another medical instituition.
  • Met up with high school friends at kim gary, the curve, organised by Grace. Had a great time catching up and taking pictures
  • Went to Malacca with my CYMT mates. ate, ate, ate food like chicken rice ball, satay, cendol, ais kacang, wan tan mee without guilt as I've nothing to lose.. haha need to gain back weight anyway!
  • Stayed over at friend's place and went for dim sum the next morning. A brunch i enjoyed the most so far
  • watch movie stardust
  • study, study for ACCA P1 P2 P3
  • attend classes, revision classes and more classes... met an interesting friend from Kuching
  • stayed home, quaratine myself to revise, revise, revise
  • sat for ACCA exam Dec 2007... was pretty much in fact totally far from prediction and expectations! gosh! just did the best I could... should have covered the syallbus more thoroughly!
  • and the next thing i know, i was packing my suitcase, preparing to head to KK for charmaine and irwin's wedding!! beebee, sarah, esther stayed over at my place, for an early morning flight! yea first one out of LCCT on 13 Dec 07. To be blog in separate entry.
  • a day after, pack stuff again for family holiday in Hong Kong. stayed for 5 days. met Jaslyn in Disneyland, ate many delicious food, get to know the direction better.
  • came back, rest few days then came christmas.
  • Then came the last day of 2007... 31 Dec 07...went for watch night celebration.
  • and the next thing i know... voila.. 2008 is here!!

That's the filling between the gap... yup, that's me... the series of events that kept me busy... thank God for sustaining me and watching over me through it all... only started to get sick/ catch a flu/ sorethroat in 2008! even now as i'm typing this... yea... better get some rest. good night!

Music to sing my heart out and praise God, Dance for exercise, coordination and balance, Sports to destress and sweat to get rid of toxic in our body, Fury friends to hug and cuddle...Friends to hang out with, encourage and support
