yes, i did got baptised!! i was fully immersed in water and the water went in through my nose!! *cough* *bleh* there were 28 of us, including Jessey, Pik Tze and Ying Hwa (my high schoolmates!!) The pastor who baptised us was Rev Wong, and Charmaine went into the pool with me as the cell leader's representative.
i was totally soaked when i came out of the pool and we had to wait in line to use the changing room... so cold! *brrr* *trembling lips and teeth*
This is something memorable as our families, including my dad came to church to witness it. other friends include beebs, annie, tina, grace, sonia andrew and other cell members.
on the night before, i met up with a Pastor M for the interview. i thought it would just be some kind of formality where we'll just 'run through' and pray for the list of issues in our lives. however, it turn out to be rather meaningful. it was easy to open up with Pr M as she was caring and understanding. she prayed for every single issue and i was really touched. some of it includes anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, my self esteem issue, my future bf/partner, my safety when i am alone and the renounce of other gods worshiped in my family. the prayer was something significant and powerful as i proclaimed that i belong to God and the evil one cannot touch me. just a little of history: i accepted Christ when i was standard 5 and wasn't baptised then as i wasn't sure and wanted to make a clear and concious decision when i'm older. and so this was the day.
i know there is a cost to follow Christ, and there were times in the past where i felt like giving up. but then again, deep down inside i know that He is the only God i will ever worship because He is the true and living God!!
