CF camp after thoughts and testimony
Sunday, September 24, 2006 12:36 AM

God is amazing that he brought so many of us together for the camp, from various faculties, different denominations and backgrounds, yet we are together as one in Him. There is peace, love and harmony as we fellowshipped because God is in our midst. =)

The camp was nice overall. Time passes quite slowly initially as there seems to be a lot of free time! Then, later as I got to know my 6 pack group members better it was kinda fun especially during games… it’s funny to think that we have aiming problems from the beginning, we fared badly in raisin-razor cream game, fill-bottle-with water-game, chair game, etc etc but the dough game and peanut eating game was just great! It was just so amusing to watch everyone opening wide their mouth and wobble around just to catch that peanut!! Richard and suk mun is the funniest to watch. Michelle and Elijah mastered the catching technique quite fast and soon everyone was like berturut turut strike!! Simply amazing. Yeah, 6 pack? The eating group!! I forgot the cheer but it goes something like 1 pack 2 pack 3 pack bla bla bla, 4 pack 5 pack 6 pack bla bla bla, you’re going back coz we have 6 pack! Together we have 6 pack!

In this camp i’ve also learnt to play ping pong, yea learn to hit the ping pong and make sure it doesn’t bounce off the table… It was fun and thankfully the other ‘pro’ players were nice and patient not to laugh so much. The night game was cool! I think I sweat more because I’m afraid * cold sweat* then because I ran. I was totally breathless and grasping for air when I came out. The guards were really intimidating especially Ewan and Wai Yee, when they shine their torchlights! Omg it was then I hope I can disappear in the wall. Now I know how it feels to be a smuggler and how people living in darkness are so afraid of light because light will expose things.

As for talent time? It was nice too, to see everyone giving ideas, acting, rehearsing and dressing up…interesting task to incorporate Disney characters to present bible stories, very funny and amusing! Heard someone got the video?

Overall all 4 one camp is good. In Him, through Jesus Christ our Lord we are one big family, ‘stucked’ together as Michael said, whether we like it or not. It is important to love and accept one another, especially the less accepted ones. Remember the example Michael gave? How many of you thought of your elbow when u woke up this morning? I myself honestly never even gave it a thought. It’s like I know it exist, but just never paid much attention to it. Similarly, sometimes in a fellowship we tend to remember the important people i.e. the musicians, worship leader, PIC etc, but we may forget some others…those who don’t feel a sense of belonging, those who speak a different language or those who may be perceived as weird. It may not be intentional, but it is indeed a good reminder to all of us that we must not neglect any part of the body. Unity is important in CF not just so that we may built up one another, but to tell the world that God sent Jesus, and He loves us. We must always remember to involve and encourage others, make every opportunity to meet and build the bond of perfection. We should also learn to serve and remember servant leadership. Some people may not be ready or available but it is our part and responsibility to keep them in touch with the fellowship.
Finally, i’m so glad that I went for this camp, well done to the committee and to God be the glory! =)

THE MADEMOISELLE

EIMA J.LEE

LOVES reading calvin and hobbes comic strips as it is simply entertaining and reflective of the naughty child i perhaps would be... JESUS made a difference in how i live my life...Travelling to take in sights and sound on this earth, Food to feed on and enjoy the fellowship... Music to sing my heart out and praise God, Dance for exercise, coordination and balance, Sports to destress and sweat to get rid of toxic in our body, Fury friends to hug and cuddle...Friends to hang out with, encourage and support
